The latest project for Mountain Light Photography took place at the new Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Mountain Light Photography, while based in Denver, serves the entire Front Range as a Boulder Colorado photographer for construction companies, architecture, and interior design firms.
The 1,275-square-foot gaming lounge is located on the first floor of the University Memorial Center at CU’s campus. The new gaming space features state-of-the-art gaming systems provided by Dell’s gaming brand, Alienware, and offers a unique and immersive space for gamers. A full-scale gaming space, the lounge features 17 Alienware gaming desktop stations, three Alienware gaming laptops, a varsity esports training area, a broadcast studio, console games, and a tabletop game space. A $1.2 million contribution funded the renovation, which construction company GH Phipps led.
This unique commercial space presented different lighting scenarios and contrasting elements. The lounge is mostly dark, with distinctive lighting fixtures, Alienware logos, and bold purple and blue lighting. The game-forward, sleek, high-tech décor elevates the experience, which was important to capture in the images.
